We were able to spend a few days at home after our MTC training and before our true departure on May 5. Clark enjoyed planting flowers with Lindsay in the yard, Shelley spent time with her mother, Edie, and we stayed busy making our final preparations. On Sunday, we attended "Music and the Spoken Word", which happened to be Emily's first official performance as a newly inducted member of the Tabernacle Choir. It was wonderful! After attending sacrament meeting, we gathered at the Roche's home in Kaysville with our children and grandchildren for a delicious brunch. We wore our brave faces and tried to keep the tears at bay. We love our family. We trust that the Lord will bless us all until we meet again.
